Hope everyone is doing well this third week of school! As we get used to the new routine of school I would like to inform you that we will resume the monthly fire drills in addition to the “Code Blues” the code blues are the lockdown procedures that the teachers have gone over with the students in case of any situation in which they need to stay in place in their respective classrooms. Please speak to your students at home in learning these procedures inside and outside of school.
This week: YR classes began today from 3:15-4:15 p.m. if you are enrolled your student classes will be held in the 200 hallway and walked outside after class.
This Thursday: School Mass at 9:00 a.m. Please send your student in Falcon Standard. I understand some Dennis uniform items are on backorder. Please let us know if you are missing any item(s) so we can check the ruffle feathers inventory. September Lunch Menus need to be returned on Thursday as well no later than 3:30 p.m. as we need to turn in the count to the caterer. You can email it directly to Sarah at [email protected]
Our 1st “Spirit Night” is also this Thursday, August 25th at Peter Piper Pizza, located at 119 N. Balboa and Mesa from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. This is a great time for our families and students to get together outside of school. Mention the teacher’s name and grade at the time of order. The class with the most attendance wins a class prize.
Finally, Friday, August 26th you should be receiving a progress report for your student in grades 5K-8th grade. In addition to Jean Friday. Students are welcome to wear jeans with a school shirt and tennis for $1.00.
Parish News: The Parish Bazaar has been canceled, however, they will be having a gordita sale at the Parish Hall on Sunday, September 18th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition to holding the raffle at 2:00 p.m. If you are interested in purchasing a raffle ticket Mrs. Portillo has some here in the library.
We still need altar servers for Mass on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and Sundays at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., and 12 noon. All students need to have the Sacrament of First Communion. For more information please contact Collen at the Parish office.
